The irony of this book is to show that fifty years after the 1963 civil rights movement, blacks are still experiencing the same types of problems they experienced in 1963. She talks about how as a college administrator she experienced some of the same types of situations she experienced thirty years earlier when she worked in the motion picture industry at Warner Brothers Studios. In her book, she talks about the Jim Crow laws and the Stand Your Ground laws. She also talks about President Obama's challenges in becoming the first black president of the United States and his reelection. Her primary point is that there has not been enough change in the area of racial equality in the last fifty years. | Building A Bridge To The Twenty-first Century Where Black Will Still Be Black by Geraldine Peeples Smith, Hardcover | Indigo Chapters
