The United States' culture teaches us, from the time we are very young, that we can find love outside of ourselves-true, unconditional love-and feel fulfilled within ourselves; you can hear it in songs, watch this theory in movies, and even experience it by watching couples. The truth is that this type of external love is not sustainable or fulfilling for anyone-especially sensitive individuals or Indigo Children. By being present with one's self and who we truly are, we can learn to love ourselves internally first-and realize that we do not need anyone to do this for us. It can be a challenging message to understand in this externalized culture. I walk you through this process, and my own personal journey, with my personal story and paintings.
